Doing something important
Interviewee: Jane Springham. Interviewer: Fiona Clampin
Jane Springham was an HIV nurse she talks here about how life changing working in HIV had been.
“So it was fabulous to be able to, to be able to support people. It gave me a huge sense of self. It gave me a huge feeling that I was doing something relevant and important. And, once I left, I have never had that feeling again.
Extremely proud
So, when you ask about how it changed me, it was the gift I was given, to be able to do something that I am extremely proud of. And I don’t think any part of my career has ever matched up to that since then.”
